Last time I could only get to 7. With Nick and Abby’s help, I made it to 10.
Top 10 Tubular Testaments to Wit
- Buffy the Vampire Slayer
- Firefly
- House M.D.
- The Simpsons
- The Muppet Show
- Monty Python’s Flying Circus
- Mystery Science Theater Three Thousand (MST3K)
- Angel
- Mythbusters
- Sesame Street
There are some runners-up as well.
Shows that didn’t make the list, but almost could have, include:
The Sopranos – Nixed because it’s too violent; watching it just makes me feel … queasy.
Six Feet Under – Clever, to be sure, but I found my interest waning after a couple seasons.
Weeds – Really intelligent at times. Other times, annoyingly juvenile.
Carnivale – The ending pissed me off too much too like this show.
Deadwood – Became annoyingly redundant.
Rome – Obviously I’m picking on HBO and Showtime shows, so why not throw them all in the pot?
Futurama – Clever, but disappointing when compared to the Simpsons. Which is inevitable.
South Park – Just because it’s ingeniously humorous doesn’t mean it’s smart.
Abby advocated The “L” Word, and made some excellent points. I just can’t handle that much girl drama.

how is The Wire not on this list?
seriously.
I guess because I’ve never watched it. I know, I know, I feel horribly ashamed.
I’ll check it out!
